A
surveyor is one who has the ability to use mathematics as a means to visualize
objects, measure distances, sizes, and other abstract forms. They have to work
with precision and accuracy because mistakes can be costly. Surveying is a
cooperative process, therefore strong interpersonal skills and the ability to
work, as parts of a team are important. Entry-level surveyors will learn and
acquire leadership abilities that are important for party chiefs and other
supervisory positions.
